Community Hubs

Find out more about the five Community Research Hubs co-leading The Abundance Project.

The Asian Resource of Croydon was established in 1999 as a charitable organisation with a view of bringing together Asian Communities & Businesses. Our mission is to foster, advance, and champion community engagement and volunteer initiatives that enhance our local community’s well-being, health, and overall quality of life. Our vision encompasses a thriving, inclusive, and enduring voluntary and community sector that enriches the lives of Asian and minority ethnic communities.

At Connect: North Korea, we work with escapees from the world’s most repressive regime to heal from trauma, rebuild their lives, and realise their potential. Through frontline services, educational support, and life-changing scholarships, we help individuals and families not only survive—but thrive. In 2024, we supported 235 North Korean families facing crisis across the globe. Our mission is simple but powerful: to enable every North Korean escapee to heal, grow, and live a life of dignity, purpose, and choice.

Kingston Voluntary Action (KVA) is the infrastructure organisation supporting the voluntary and community sector in the Borough of Kingston upon Thames. KVA provides essential services such as advice, training, and networking opportunities to help local groups develop their skills, build resources, and amplify their voices. By fostering collaboration and offering comprehensive support, KVA aims to create a stronger, more connected community.

Refugee Action Kingston has existed since 1991 to enable people seeking sanctuary in Kingston and surrounding areas to succeed as integrated members of the local community. We’ve sought to be a positive source of support for people finding refuge in Kingston and South West London. One that focuses on matching the needs and ambitions of the people we work with.

The Reach Foundation works with a multicultural population of children, young people and families living in deprived areas. Working in partnership with the community, existing institutions and local professionals, we have shown that it is possible to improve children’s outcomes across a range of domains while enhancing the capacity of children’s families and their communities to sustain better outcomes in the long-run.

Over the last ten years, we have developed an innovative, high-impact Cradle-to-Career model in Feltham—a historically under-resourced area of southwest London.
